OK. You’ve already made zucchini lasagna, zucchini bread and zucchini Florentine. But we’ll bet you haven’t tried a zucchini martini.

We’ll also bet that halfway through squeezing a zucchini for its juice, you’re just going to say “to heck with it” and drink the gin neat.

You’ve got mail: Seems Like Yesterday reports that Americans in 1984 were discovering an alternative to the telephone and the U.S. Postal Service that used a computer network to send electronic mail.

Up until this point:

  • If you deleted spam, you left it off your sandwich.

  • “Outlook” was the weatherman’s forecast for the weekend.

  • And when Nigerian government officials offered you a cut of “US$21 million” if you helped them with a shady bank transfer, at least you got to keep the cool Nigerian stamp on the envelope.

And it’s full of fiber, too: An upcoming issue of the magazine Entertainment Weekly will have a small video player embedded in an ad for CBS’ fall shows, similar to the greeting cards that play songs.

The Buzz is also inaugurating some new print technology today with a lickable newspaper. Go ahead: Lick the picture in this column.

What do you think? Tastes just like newspaper, doesn’t it?
