Seats are good when team is bad

After reading Thursday’s letter suggesting the Seattle Mariners hire Joey Cora as manager, all I can ask is: What are you thinking? If you want the Mariners to continue to be horrible, then why not? While we’re at it, let’s bring back Alvin Davis, Mark Langston, Harold Reynolds and Spike Owen. That is the past for the Mariners and we can’t keep going back to names we know.
Let’s face it, they are a horrible team and will be for a while. The only good thing about them being so bad means fewer people at Safeco Field, leaving better seats for people who want to watch a bad team.
