It was the wise song writer Ray Stevens (yes, the man who gave us “The Streak”), who once said, “There is none so blind as he who will not see.”

The solution to our flood problem has been broadcast into our homes via cable infomercials, but we have failed to see it. The next time floods threaten, all we have to do is line the top of every levee and dike with a ShamWow. BAM! Problem solved.
