Some pet owners ruin it for all

In regard to the letter, “Trail protocol: All owners must pick up after pets”: Amen brother, although I own a dog (small one) I am sick and tired of seeing dog poop everywhere I go. Having a small dog means that sometime it is a real hunt to recover his droppings, but I look for it; it just galls me when I walk down a sidewalk and it is a stinking obstacle course of dog poop or one misstep and it’s the barnyard shuffle.

Then there are are people who bag the mess but still leave it there, like some fairy god person is going to come along and make it disappear, and none of the ones left behind are small ones (I think they would knock my dog out.) I watched one man allow his dog to defecate on the sidewalk near some bushes, then walk on (I was too far back to say anything), I was hoping he was going to come back with a shovel but it sat there until a week of rain finally washed it out. One day I saw him walking and followed him to see where he lived.

You can report people to the animal control office and they are sent a reminder.

My dog barks but we do pick up after him.
