Lake Stevens has a great candidate in Kerry Watkins for City Council, Position 3. In this age of political double talk and no action, or what’s worse, to have these politicians working their own agenda, you now have a real choice.
I’ve known Kerry for over 15 years and he’s a man of action with a committment to the community. Back then, when we lived at the same apartment complex, he organized a block watch group to eliminate vandalism. At Boeing in Everett, when our flightline crew had a tough problem, he was our go-to-guy to get it solved!
Action is the one word that sums up his approach to problem solving. Leadership is the other. He’s an officer in the Washington National Guard, with a tour of duty in Iraq and another in New Orleans to aid Katrina victims. He was a reserve officer with the Everett Police Department, and gives special attention to helping underprivileged youth. Now here’s what he’s going to do for you: provide responsible spending, responsible city growth, focus on teenage problems, provide wholesome youth activities, and concentrate on a safer Lake Stevens.
