Broncos in white, Panthers to wear black jerseys for Super Bowl

The Carolina Panthers will don silver pants with black jerseys for Super Bowl 50 in Santa Clara, Calif.
The team decided against the all-black look for the black-and-silver combination.
Denver will be in its white road jerseys. The Broncos got the choice because they’re considered the home team. The AFC champion is the home team at the Super Bowl on even-numbered years.
Because Denver is the home team, the Panthers will call heads or tails on the coin flip.
The Broncos could have worn their orange jerseys, but they are 0-4 in the Super Bowl in orange. According to ESPN, 10 of the past 11 teams to wear white in the big game have won the Super Bowl.
Carolina, 9-4 all-time in white in the postseason, lost Super Bowl XXXVIII in 2004 to the Patriots wearing white uniforms. The Panthers are 0-2 in the playoffs in black.
