Everett Silvertips Connor Dewar, Riley Sutter and Wyatte Wylie were each selected in the 2018 NHL draft in Dallas Saturday morning. It was the first time three Tips had been selected in the same draft since 2010.

Dewar and Sutter are dynamic linemates who will serve as captain and alternate captain for next year’s Everett Silvertips.
Fittingly, the duo went back-to-back at the end of the third round of the 2018 NHL draft Saturday morning in Dallas. Dewar, who was passed over a year ago, went No. 92 to the Minnesota Wild. Sutter was immediately taken at No. 93 by the Stanley Cup champion Washington Capitals.
Wylie, a defenseman, was selected by the Philadelphia Flyers in the fifth round at No. 127 overall. His selection is a big moment for Snohomish County hockey as the Everett-born Wylie is the first former Everett Youth Hockey player to be drafted by and play for the Silvertips.
Seminal moment for Snohomish County hockey as @WHLsilvertips defenseman and Everett native Wyatte Wylie is selected by the @NHLFlyers in the fifth round of the NHL draft, becoming the first @Everett_MHA product to be drafted into the NHL.

Sutter had 25 goals and 28 assists during the regular season. The Calgary native added nine goals and 10 assists in 21 playoff games. Riley became the 12th Sutter drafted into the NHL across two generations.
Congrats to my little cousin Riley on being drafted into the @NHL today! Proud of the kid! We’re basically the same player except he is bigger, faster and more skilled.

Wylie had six goals and 25 assists during the regular season, and added two goals and six assists in the postseason.
He may play for Everett but Wyatt Wylie is a “local” kid. He’s from Everett, now drafted into NHL. Imagine how often we might say that after NHL arrives in Seattle.
