Three days after a postgame rant following the NFC championship game, a considerably more calm Doug Baldwin met with reporters and discussed his “spur of the moment” decision to come yell at reporters waiting to get into the locker room for doubting the Seahawks.

“All the frustrations that I’ve had from the course of the game and the entire course of the season kind of came out in that moment,” Baldwin explained. “I’m just fiery, passionate guy. I don’t try to ruffle feathers on purpose, it just sometimes happens because of the mentality that I have.”

Baldwin says he doesn’t regret the overall message, but admits he could have got his point across in a different way, and specifically in one that didn’t put so much attention on him after the game.

“Obviously I wish I would have handled things a bit differently,” he said. “In that moment I felt like I was taking away from everything that happened, that the team should be celebrated. I felt like I was taking away from the team aspect of it, but ultimately I wouldn’t take anything back. I meant what I said and I feel very strongly about it, obviously, but if I could go back and do anything, I would handle it in a different way, because I felt like I was taking away from the team.”
