Everett AFL team releases schedule for inaugural season

The Washington Wolfpack opens play April 27 and hosts their first game at Angel of the Winds Arena on May 5.

EVERETT — The new era of indoor football in Everett will officially begin on April 27.

On Monday the Washington Wolfpack, members of the rebooted Arena Football League, released the dates and opponents for the 10 games of their inaugural season. Washington will open the season on Saturday, April 27, on the road against the Oregon Black Bears. The Wolfpack’s first home game — home games will be played at Angel of the Winds Arena — will be on Sunday, May 5, against the Rapid City Marshals.

Washington is set to play in the West Division alongside the Black Bears, Marshals and Billings Outlaws. Divisional opponents face one another twice, once at home and once on the road. The Wolfpack’s schedule also includes four games against non-divisional opponents. The order of opponents varies from the initial opponent schedule that was released in November, but the four teams in the West Division remain the same.

After starting the season on the road, the Wolfpack come home for four straight home games. Washington then hits the road for four straight games before concluding the regular season at home on June 29 against Billings. Two of the Wolfpack’s home games are on Sundays, two are on Saturdays and one is on Thursday.

The start times for the games are yet to be determined.
