CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Four-time NASCAR champion Jeff Gordon has undergone a procedure on his back to help alleviate the pain he’s suffered from for more than a year.
Gordon says he had a facet block procedure on Monday. The procedure typically calls for a physician to inject lidocaine and or an anti-inflammatory medication into the back for relief.
Gordon says he was sore after the procedure, but will race this weekend at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.
