The news is in on reigning WNBA Most Valuable Player Lauren Jackson — and it’s not good.

A second test on Jackson’s left hip revealed a labral injury — an injury that Storm head coach Brian Agler said is “often treated effectively with rest and physical therapy.”

Agler said the Storm will rest Jackson for a week before increasing her activity level. Jackson is expected to miss a minimum of three weeks with injury.

If Jackson does not show significant progress after three weeks of therapy and increased physical activity, surgery will be an option.
