SEATTLE — Sam Linscott and Jake Tilley each drove in runs with RBI singles, but the Everett Merchants couldn’t keep the Highline Bears’ bats quiet in an 8-2 loss Saturday at Steve Cox Memorial Park.
It was the final game of the Merchants’ 2019 season.
The Merchants scored single runs in the third and fourth innings, but the Bears scored in five of their eight at-bats in the win.
Jaxsen Sweum went 2-for-4 and Koby Blunt went 1-for-3 with a run scored for Everett, which ends its season with a record of 27-9-1.
Kaden Roettger started the game on the mound for Everett and allowed three runs on five hits in four innings of work. He struck out two and did not walk a batter.
Four relievers — Jacob Bogacz, Alec Schuldt, Brandon Mahovlich and Blunt — combined to allow the other four runs.
