3A DISTRICT 1 TOURNAMENT PLAY-IN

Loser Out

Everett 1, Stanwood 0 (OT)

STANWOOD — Taylor Marsall scored on an assist from Brittney Lemke in overtime as No. 11-seed Everett upset No. 6-seed Stanwood in a loser-out play-in game for the 3A District 1 Tournament.

Everett (6-9-1) advanced to face No. 3 Edmonds-Woodway (9-5-2) on Saturday.

Stanwood finished its season with a 10-7-0 record.

Shorecrest 2, Arlington 0

SHORELINE — Ava Jensen and Reese Jones each scored, and Tati Zahajko posted a shutout in goal as No. 8-seed Shorecrest blanked No. 9-seed Arlington in a loser-out play-in game for the 3A District 1 Tournament.

Shorecrest (8-7-2) advanced to face rival and No. 1-see Shorewood (13-3-0) on Saturday.

Arlington finished its season with a 7-8-2 record.

Ferndale 2, Meadowdale 1

BLAINE — No. 5-seed Ferndale edged No. 12-seed Meadowdale in a loser-out play-in game for the 3A District 1 Tournament.

Ferndale (10-4-2) advaced to face No. 4 Mountlake Terrace (9-4-3) on Saturday.

Meadowdale finished its season with a 4-12-1 record.

Monroe 3, Oak Harbor 1

MONROE — No. 7-seed Monroe beat No. 10-seed Oak Harbor in a loser-out play-in game for the 3A District 1 Tournament.

Monroe (8-6-2) advanced to face No. 2 Snohomish (11-3-2) on Saturday.

Oak Harbor finished its season with an 8-9-0 record.

2A DISTRICT 1 TOURNAMENT PLAY-IN

Squalicum 2, Lakewood 1

BELLINGHAM — Lakewood’s Jasmine Graham scored on an assist from Layla Thomas, but No. 8-seed Squalicum edged the ninth-seeded Cougars in a loser-out play-in game for the 2A District 1 Tournament.

Squalicum (7-7-3) advanced to face top-seed Archbishop Murphy (16-0-0) in the opening round of the tournament.

Jolee O’Connor had nine saves in goal for Lakewood (6-8-2).

EMERALD SOUND CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT

Bear Creek 6, Granite Falls 0

REDMOND — Bear Creek cruised past Granite Falls in the opening loser-out round of the Emerald Sound Conference Tournament.

Granite Falls finished its season with a 6-9-1 record.

LAKE STEVENS — Anna Schroedl had six kills, one ace and one block, and Grace Macgillis added five aces and five digs as undefeated Lake Stevens swept Glacier Peak in a league match by scores of 25-8, 25-15 and 25-20 on Senior Night for the Vikings.

Kylie Ascher had two kills, two blocks and three digs for Lake Stevens (13-0, 7-0 Wesco 4A).

Glacier Peak fell to 7-8 overall and 3-4 in league play.

Edmonds-Woodway 3, Mountlake Terrace 0

EDMONDS — Erika Fosberg had 16 kills, five digs and one block, and Eris Lynch added 24 kills and one dig as Edmonds-Woodway swept Mountlake Terrace in a league match by scores of 25-17, 25-22 and 25-20.

Amber Uyeda had seven kills and Elizabeth Veshkurova added five kills and one ace for Edmonds-Woodway (4-11, 4-9 Wesco 2A/3A).

Kayla Bentosino had 17 digs, Haley Trinh had five kills, eight assists and six digs, Carly Epp added four kills, nine assists, seven digs and two blocks, and Jessie Tong chipped in six kills and four blocks for Mountlake Terrace (6-10, 6-8).

Meadowdale 3, Lynnwood 2

BOTHELL — Steph Grimes had 20 digs and Tanna Kollen had 16 kills and five blocks as Meadowdale rallied from down two sets to beat Lynnwood 18-25, 12-25, 25-19, 28-26, 15-10.

Eden Thoesen had 35 assists and Sofia Brockmeyer added nine digs and five aces for Meadowdale (10-6, 9-5 Wesco 2A/3A).

Hannah Johnson had 14 kills, six blocks and two aces, Sarah McArthur had 12 kills, 12 digs and four aces, and Charlie Thomas added 31 assists and four kills for Lynnwood (9-7, 7-7).

Shorecrest 3, Archbishop Murphy 2

EVERETT — Violet Burchak and 35 assists and 21 digs, and Anna Knyphausen added 12 kills, eight blocks and two aces as Shorecrest edged Archbishop Murphy 25-23, 18-25, 26-24, 22-25, 15-11 in a back-and-forth league thriller on Thursday night.

Ally Johnson had 10 kills, Maria Alvarez had 28 digs and Marina Rogers added five blocks for Shorecrest (12-5, 10-4 Wesco 2A/3A).

Madison Nguyen had 24 kills, 36 digs and two aces, Alishia Nichols had five aces, three kills, 40 assists and 17 digs, Natalie Russell added five aces, 14 kills and 25 digs, and Hannah Humphrey chipped in three aces, six kills, two blocks and five digs for Archbishop Murphy (11-4, 10-3).

Marissa Martinez had 22 digs and Aaliyah Lutali added 16 assists for Jackson (11-4).
