BOYS BASKETBALL

Wesco 4A

Mariner 85, Lake Stevens 64

EVERETT — Makai Bloomfield dominated with 47 points, including 29 in the second half, and Mariner clinched a share of the league title with a win over Lake Stevens.

Mariner improved to 13-7 overall and 6-2 in league play, tied with Jackson and the team’s split their season series.

Lake Stevens fell to 11-9 overall and 4-4 in league play, but earned the final seed from Wesco into the 4A District 1/2 Tournament.

Kamiak 72, Glacier Peak 63

Wesco 3A/2A

Monroe 43, Arlington 42

MONROE — Steve Kuhnle Jr. scored a team-high 11 points and the Monroe defense stepped up big in a win over Arlington, dashing the Eagles’ hopes of clinching the league regular-season title.

Hayden Creswell had 10 points and Ethan Hogan chipped in nine for Monroe (16-3, 12-3 Wesco 3A/2A), which held the Eagles to single-digit points in two of the four quarters.

Leyton Martin scored a game-high 17 points and David Zachman added 15 for Arlington (16-3, 13-2), which now needs a Mountlake Terrace loss to Cascade on Friday to earn the league title. With a win Friday, the Hawks (14-5, 12-2) would earn the league title by virtue of a win over the Eagles earlier in the season.

Everett 65, Shorewood 48

SHORELINE — Isaiah Parker had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Ty Bloomfield scored a team-high 15 points to help lead Everett to a league win over Shorewood.

Danny Savovic had 14 points and nine rebounds, Hayden Conaxis added nine points and eight rebounds, and Isaiah White chipped in nine points and six assists for Everett (12-8, 10-5 Wesco 3A/2A).

Jaden Messer scored a team-high 18 points and Nathaniel Burkell added 15 for Shorewood (7-12, 4-10).

Shorecrest 70, Edmonds-Woodway 56

EDMONDS — Parker Baumann scored a team-high 17 points and added five assists and five steals to help lead Shorecrest to a league win over Edmonds-Woodway.

Anthony Najera scored 15 points and Keaine Silimon added 14 points, six assists and nine rebounds for Shorecrest (14-5, 12-3).

Drew Warner scored a team-high 15 points and added four assists and four steals, Will Bates added 10 points, and Ben Hanson and Dennis Karl chipped in nine each for Edmonds-Woodway (8-12, 5-10).

Lopez 48, Darrington 47

DARRINGTON — Cooper Green scored 19 points, including four 3-pointers in the third quarter, but seventh-seeded Darrington couldn’t hold off a late charge and the Loggers’ season ended with a loss to 10th-seeded Lopez in a 1B District 1 Tournament play-in game.

Ashin Whitaker chipped in nine points for Darrington (4-15), which was outscored 12-4 in the fourth quarter en route to the defeat.

Ethan Patrick socred 20 points for Lopez (3-13), which advanced to face No. 2 Lummi Nation in the opening round on Saturday.

Tulalip Heritage 46, Providence Classical Christian 40

TULALIP — Fifth-seeded Tulalip Heritage beat No. 12 Providence Classical Christian in a 1B District 1 Tournament play-in game.

Tulalip Heritage (12-6) advanced to face No. 4 Grace Academy in the opening round on Saturday.

Fellowship Christian 59, Cedar Park Christian (Lynnwood) 57

EVERETT — Sixth-seeded Fellowship Christian beat No. 11 Cedar Park Christian (Lynnwood) in a 1B District 1 Tournament play-in game.

Fellowship Christian (8-7) advanced to face No. 3 Orcas Island in the opening round on Saturday.

Cedar Park Christian finished its season with a 2-14 overall record.

Wesco 3A/2A

Arlington 85, Monroe 38

ARLINGTON — Jenna Villa had 29 points and 16 rebounds as Arlington raced past Monroe and finished undefeated in league play.

Maddy Fischer scored 16 points, Samara Morrow added 12 and Rachel Snow chipped in eight for Arlington (17-2, 15-0 Wesco 3A/2A).

Adria Lincoln scored a team-high 18 points, and Mya Mercille and Halle Keller added six each for Monroe (13-7, 8-7).

Stanwood 72, Marysville Getchell 37

MARYSVILLE — Tatum Brager scored 23 points and made five 3-pointers as Stanwood stormed to a league win over Marysville Getchell.

Vivienne Berrett scored 16 points, Ava Depew added 10 and Grace Walker chipped in nine for Stanwood (17-3, 13-2 Wesco 3A/2A).

Hayden Robinson scored a team-high 11 points, and Ellie Jackson and Chloe Downing added seven each for Marysville Getchell (7-13, 4-11).

Mountlake Terrace 56, Cascade 36

EVERETT — Mya Sheffield scored a team-high 19 points to help lead Mountlake Terrace past Cascade for a league win.

Alexa Brock scored 11 points and Cameron Dunn chipped in nine for Mountlake Terrace (11-9, 8-7 Wesco 3A/2A).

Claire Mitchell scored 12 points and Jaidyn Wilson added 10 for Cascade (2-17, 1-14).

Everett 38, Shorewood 24

EVERETT — Mylie Wugumgeg had 12 points and five steals and Everett overcame a sluggish first half for a league win over Shorewood.

Alana Washington had 10 points, and Mae Washington added nine points and nine rebounds for Everett (14-6, 12-3 Wesco 3A/2A), which led 13-7 after a low-scoring first two quarters.

Rachel Te scored a team-high 10 points and Joy Brandenstein chipped in five for Shorewood (10-10, 7-8).

Concrete 54, Tulalip Heritage 39

TULALIP — Tulalip Heritage’s (9-8) season ended with a loss to Concrete in the opening round of the 1B District 1 Tournament.

DARRINGTON — Darrington (9-7) was awared a win over Lopez and advanced to face Grace Academy on Saturday.
