MARYSVILLE — Marysville-Pilchuck had 11 placers, including two weight-class champions, as the host Tomahawks captured the overall team title at the M-P Premier wrestling tournament. Christian Mendoza beat Seattle O’Dea wrestler Jake Portes in the 125-pound final and Demitri Robinson earned a 9-6 decision over Nico Moreno of Moses Lake in the 145-pound class for M-P. The Tomahawks also saw Skyler Hatch (215 pounds) and Marcus Haughian (189) earn second place finishes. Marysville-Pilchuck scored 213 points, edging out Moses Lake (209.5) for the team title. Snohomish placed fifth with 137.5 points, Glacier Peak (78) was ninth and Granite Falls (62) tenth overall. Ammon Morrill of Snohomish won the 152-pound class and Stanwood senior Jared Studley earned first place at 130 pounds. Sean Elledge of Glacier Peak was first at 160 pounds and teammate Josh St. Marie took second in the 135-pound division.
