Silvertips score 5 unanswered in 7-2 win over Spokane

Five different Everett players netted goals, including two apiece from Jacob Wright and Alex Swetlikoff.

EVERETT — Jacob Wright and Alex Swetlikoff each netted two goals as the Everett Silvertips pulled away in the second period for a 7-2 victory over the Spokane Chiefs.

Niko Huuhtanen added four assists and Ryan Hofer, Jesse Holop and Caden Zaplitny each scored a goal for Everett (21-6-2-1, 45 points).

Chase Bertholet and Blake Swetlikoff netted goals for the Chiefs (7-15-2-1, 17 points).

Heslop broke a 2-2 tie at the 6:18 mark of the second and started a run of five straight Everett goals to close the game — three of which came in the second.

Braden Holt stopped 30 of 32 shots to pick up the win in net for the Silvertips.

Spokane’s Manny Panghli had 29 saves on 36 attempts.
