GRANITE FALLS — A woman died Friday night when her car rolled over and she was ejected in a crash about a block from her home.

The 36-year-old woman died at the scene about 8:40 p.m. in the 17300 block of 100th Street NE, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Jan Jorgensen said.

The woman was driving at a high rate of speed westbound when she apparently lost control and the car rolled over, coming to rest on the south shoulder, Jorgensen said.

Investigators said speed was a factor in the crash.

Elaine Ihler, 42, suffered severe head injuries July 27 when her 1982 Ford pickup ran off one of the freeway’s northbound lane into the median and rolled over, coming to rest on its wheels.

The crash destroyed the pickup.

No details on the cause of her death were available Saturday night from the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.
