Local kegler picks up where he left off with perfect game: Bryan Young, who closed out the 2000-2001 season with a 300 game last spring, opened the 2001-2002 Red Hook League at Tyee Lanes in Everett by rolling another perfect game on Sept. 13. Young, who has participated in the annual High Rollers in Las Vegas and the ABC Masters event, now has four 300 games to his credit in 17 years of bowling.
Strikers down Golden Eagles: Sean Simon headed in a goal off an assist from Erik Olsoy, and Kyle Benson added a score with an assist from Dirk Snel to help the FC Silver Lake U13 boys to a 2-1 victory over the FC Shoreline Golden Eagles Sunday. The victory improved the Strikers season mark to 7-1.
Avalanche knot Menace: Max Dewes scored a goal off a Michael Grady assist and Tye Hastings added another score as the Cascade Avalanche U11 boys battled the Mukilteo Menace to a 2-2 tie Saturday. The Avalanche are 3-1-2 on the season.
Fusion remain on top: Goals by Dani Oster and Shannon Wilson helped the Silver Lake Fusion U14 girls remain in first place in the Premier Three Classic Division with a 2-1 victory over Eastside FC Sunday. Jessi Ramback had an assist on Wilson’s goal.
