A pedestrian was struck by a van driving north on I-5 in Everett early Sunday morning and remained in serious condition with a head injury Sunday evening, according to police and hospital officials.
Ronald Jensen, 24, of Yakima was struck at around 4 a.m. Sunday as he crossed the freeway, according to the Washington State Patrol.
A van was traveling in the first lane and moved into the second lane in an attempt to avoid Jensen, but struck him, the State Patrol said.
Jensen was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and was listed in serious condition Sunday evening. The 47-year-old Sedro-Woolley woman driving the van wasn’t injured, the State Patrol said.
