Cascade remains unbeaten

ANACORTES – Markeeta Munger rolled a 556 series as Cascade defeated Mount Vernon 3-1 Tuesday in a Western Conference girls bowling match at San Juan Lanes in Anacortes.

Munger, whose highest game was a 212, helped Cascade win its 12 consecutive match and remain in first place with a 12-0 record.

Ferndale’s Ashley Burrous rolled a 542 series to lead Ferndale, which entered the meet one game ahead of last place Mount Vernon, past second place Everett (7-5) 2-1.

Jackson, by virtue of its 2-1 victory over Anacortes, created a three-way tie for third place with Anacortes and Ferndale all with 5-7 records.

The six-team Wesco Conference resumes play Tuesday at Majestic Lanes in Lynnwood.
