City of Lynnwood: The city of Lynnwood Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department offers classes for youth and families. Discounts are offered to residents of Lynnwood. For information and registration, call the Lynnwood Recreation Center, 425-771-4030:

  • Walking and jogging program, all ages, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, through March 10, at Lynnwood Athletic Complex, free.

  • Teens’ Tuesdays, ages 13 to 18, 7 to 9 p.m. every Tuesday, free.

  • Night Waves, grades seven to 12, 9:15 to 11:15 p.m. every Saturday, $3.

  • Tiny tot theater, ages 3 to 5, 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Thursdays through March 4, $45.

  • Kids Love Improv, ages 8 to 12, 4 to 5:30 p.m. Thursdays through March 4, $60.

  • Guitar playing, ages 11 to 14, 4:30 to 6 p.m. Thursdays through April 1, $116.

  • Fabulous Fridaze – Prehistoric predators, kindergarten through sixth grade, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Jan. 30, $30.

  • Ceramics and pottery painting, all ages, 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 31, $10.

  • Little Valentines, ages 3 to 5, 11 a.m. Feb. 12, $17.

    Soundbridge: Soundbridge, Seattle Symphony Music Discovery Center at Benaroya Hall, offers music classes to people of all ages and skill levels. Soundbridge features exhibits, classes and opportunities to meet Seattle Symphony musicians. Admission is $7, $5 for children. Hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays.
