City of Lynnwood: The city of Lynnwood Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department offers classes for youth and families. Discounts are offered to residents of Lynnwood. For information and registration, call the Lynnwood Recreation Center, 425-771-4030:

  • Teens’ Tuesdays, ages 13 to 18, 7 to 9 p.m. every Tuesday, free.

  • Night Waves, grades seven to 12, 9:15 to 11:15 p.m. every Saturday, $3.

  • Guitar playing, ages 11 to 14, 4:30 to 6 p.m. Thursdays through April 1, $116.

  • Baby story times, up to age 23 months with a parent, 10:30 a.m. Mondays through April 26, registration required, main.

  • “Take a Trip Through Time With Music,” a free family concert with music, from baroque to the Beatles, 2 p.m. March 20, main.

  • Puppet show, all ages, 4 p.m. March 24, Evergreen.

  • Puppet show, all ages, 7 p.m. March 31, main.

  • Playgroup for parents and children, a drop-in playgroup, 10 a.m. to noon every Friday, Evergreen.

  • Preschool story times, ages 2 to 3 at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays, and ages 3 to 6 at 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays, main; 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Thursdays, Evergreen.

    “The Shape of a Girl”: Seattle Children’s Theatre presents the one-woman show by Joan MacLeod about the real-life tragedy of a teenage girl who was killed by a group of her female peers, 7 p.m. Fridays, 2 and 5:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, through April 4, $14 to $26.
