Slow 777-200LR sales

Boeing marketer Randy Tinseth talked with ex-Herald reporter Susanna Ray last week in Germany, and told her that post-September 11 industry slump was choking off sales of the 777-200LR. Major U.S. airlines were expected to be the best customers for the new jet, but — as you know — they can’t really afford to fly the planes they’ve already got.
