Bloomberg News said Tuesday the Boeing-Airbus subsidy talks failed because the European Union insists on giving Airbus about $1.3 billion in cash to help it develop the A350, its proposed counter to Boeing’s 787:

And here’s a surprise: Editors of Britain’s leading financial newspaper say it’s time for Europe to end Airbus support:
