Key quote: “Boeing’s stack of orders gives the Vought-Alenia venture a base to build on, and to learn how to build an airplane using lighter composite materials. That should provide a technical advantage for Charleston to lure other aircraft work with the same material, said (South Carolina) Commerce Secretary Bob Faith.”
