Cathay Pacific seeks long-haul widebodies

That’s what one of the airline’s general managers wrote in an internal publication quoted by Bloomberg News. The airline’s interested in either Boeing 777-300ERs or Airbus A340-600s, Bloomberg reported.
Key Quote: “‘We will receive their responses in July and, after completing our evaluations, will enter into detailed negotiations later in the year,’ said Greg Hughes, general manager of purchasing and aircraft trading. He didn’t say how many planes Cathay may buy or lease.”
