NY Times: Airbus won’t launch A350 at Paris

OK, I just about fell outta my chair with this one. The Times reports that Airbus has decided NOT to launch the A350 next week at the Paris Air Show.
Key Quote, from the story by Mark Lander: “EADS said that it was still confident of the A350’s prospects. But Rainer Ohler, a spokesman for the French-German company, said, ‘We need to be absolutely sure of how to manage the A350, with all the other programs we are pursuing.’ EADS, he said, did not want the timing of its decision to be dictated by an industry trade show.”
But given that Airbus ALWAYS saves up big news for Paris/Farnborough, AND that this year’s air show is in FRANCE, fer cryin’ outloud … wow. I sense trouble in Toulouse.
