Boeing’s Randy Tinseth doesn’t have anything posted about the McNerney hiring (or at least he didn’t as of 4 p.m. Thursday, my time). But he does have some interesting recent insights into:

* Orders announcements in Paris (speculation is that only 10 of the 280 orders Airbus announced represent firm deals with signed contracts)

* Prospects for the 747 Advanced (“We’re feeling positive about it.”)

* The cancelled Air Canada deal (“We have a lot of opportunities to place these very popular airplanes with customers.”)
