OK, word from one of those Seattle publications is that Alan Mulally plans to stay with Boeing. (I haven’t talked to Alan myself, so I can’t say.)
But Boeing’s probably going to need to find a new CFO soon, HR types tell the Chicago Tribune. James Bell’s performance as Boeing’s interim CEO will make him an attractive candidate for some other company, HR types tell the paper.
Key Quote: “Bell’s temporary gig has raised his profile around the country, headhunters say, and may make him a candidate for other CEO jobs. If a company asks a search firm for a diverse slate, his name stands a good chance of being included.”
