Not the only Boeing contract talks

Boeing is in talks with the United Aerospace Workers at its suburban Philadelphia helicopter plant, the Delaware County Times reports http://www.zwire.com/site/news.cfm?newsid=15134595&BRD=1675&PAG=461&dept_id=18177&rfi=6

Key Quote: “UAW Local 1069 President John DeFrancisco … said last week … that the union was focusing on preparing a counterproposal to the company’s job combinations, which has been a major sticking point in the non-economic negotiations. He also indicated that the sides still differed on issues regarding seniority clauses and a job security clause.”

The UAW contract expires Sept. 12.
