How to read your road report: Road restrictions may be near, but not necessarily in, the cities under which they are listed. Most restrictions are from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Any lane on the road could be closed between the two cross streets found in most listings.
Notes and news
I-5-Everett freeway expansion project: Until further notice, all northbound lanes between Lowell Bridge and 41st Street will be shifted to the right for up to two months.
Monday through Friday, one lane on southbound I-5 will be closed at 7 p.m. and one lane on northbound I-5 will be closed at 10 p.m. The lanes will be open by 5 a.m. the following morning. Also, up to two lanes on southbound I-5 will be closed beginning at 7 p.m. in various locations between Marine View Drive and Highway 526 for pavement grinding. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. the following morning. In addition, up to two lanes on northbound I-5 will be closed beginning at 10 p.m. from just north of Highway 526 onramp to U.S. 2 onramp. All lanes will reopen by 6 a.m. the following morning. Lane closures are needed to build up and stabilize shoulders to use for future traffic lane shifts.
On Wednesday, there will be a rolling slowdown on northbound I-5 sometime between 2:30 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. to allow crews to move a large crane across the northbound lanes. Delays are expected to be no more than 10 minutes.

* Fourth Street NE, between 92nd Avenue NE and 97th Avenue NE. Lane closed Oct. 10-14. Installing a catch basin and culvert. n 79th Avenue SE, around its intersection with 20th Street SE. Lane closed until Oct. 14. Installing water lines. n Lundeen Parkway, between 15th Street NE and Highway 204. Construction continues; roadway will be open after Oct. 18. Extension project.
Lynnwood
* 40th Avenue W., between Highway 99 and 152nd Street SW. Lane closed through Oct. 31. Installing gas main.
Maltby
* Highway 522 at the Fales Road and Echo Lake Road interchange. Intermittent brief lane closures on Fales Road from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday to allow construction traffic to cross the road safely. Also, one lane will be closed on Echo Lake Road at 204th Street SE from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday. Flaggers will alternate traffic. Ongoing project.

No evening or weekend construction planned. This two-lane corridor is being widened to three lanes, with a planter strip and sidewalk on the west side of the roadway. Snohomish County Public Works project.
Brier
* Poplar Way, north of Larch Way and on Larch Way, at 33rd Place W. Lane closed until Oct. 14. Installing sewer and water services.
Brier-Bothell
* 242nd Street SW, east of 23rd Avenue W. Lane closed until Dec. 31. Installing sewer system.
Cathcart
* Puget Park Drive extension, from dead end at 67th Avenue SE east to Cathcart Way. Construction is expected to be completed in late 2006. This new half-mile of road will provide access to Willis D. Tucker Community Park, which is nearing completion.
Edmonds
* 160th Street SW, at 53rd Place W. Shoulder closed until Oct. 14. Installing residential gas service. n 220th Street SW between 84th Avenue W. and Ninth Avenue S. Intermittent closures through spring. Road widening and walkway installation.
Everett
* Russell Way between Alexander Way and Highway 99. Road closed, 24 hours daily, until Friday. Replacing culvert. n 116th Street SE, between 51st Avenue SE and 53rd Avenue SE. Lane closed Oct. 28. Installing utilities. n Beverly Park Boulevard and 112th Street SW between Highway 525 and Airport Road. This two-lane corridor is being widened to two lanes in each direction with a center turn lane. Temporary lane closures and other minor delays, but most work is on the sides of the roadway. Marysville
* 10th Street from State Avenue east to Columbia Avenue. Partial closure for two weeks began Sept. 26. Replacing a 6-inch water main with an 8-inch main. Some nearby homes may experience brief water service disruptions. During construction there will be no parking allowed on the south side of 10th Street. n 50th Avenue NE, just north of 92nd Street NE. Lane closed until Oct. 31. * Old Owen Road between Reiner Road and 299th Avenue SE. Lane closed until approximately Oct. 28. Another full road closure of short duration may be required during this time. Three days advance notification will be given to the public. Repairing the road and building a retaining wall.
