Ghouls and goblins are haunting retail stores in Snohomish and Island counties. Whether it’s traditional All Hallows Eve decorations you seek, or something with a vintage twist, these Halloween items will enhance the holiday’s fun.

Basket case: This wacky witch won’t scare little monsters when you hand out treats this Halloween. The woven candy basket features a friendly witch with a ceramic nose. She can even stand on her own two ceramic feet; $16 at Violet Fields.

Night lights: Cast a warm glow over your Halloween table with handpainted candles in mason jars. This purple candle will burn for 21 hours and features a spider hanging from its web. Others include a black cat; $13 at Violet Fields.

Bath flavors: Yummy candy-scented bath gels can turn your Halloween bath into a delicious experience. Scents include candy corn, ghoulish grape, berry scary and bobbing for apples; $2.50 each at Violet Fields.

Crows beware: This primitive-style stuffed scarecrow has a corncob body and a pumpkin for a head, and embraces a recent visitor; $38 at Cin-A-Mon Stik.

Spooky soaps: Replicated from vintage Halloween postcards, these natural glycerin bars of soap can help wash sticky fingers. The old-fashioned designs are from Old World Christmas’ Halloween line; $4.99 at Joyworks in Snohomish.

Midnight ride: A pumpkin man riding a black cat figurine stands 5 inches tall. The Halloween decoration is a vintage reproduction by KD Vintage; $20.99 at Joyworks in Snohomish.
