While Boeing was formally launching the Jumbo Jet Formerly Known as Advanced with two orders from cargo carriers (Cargolux and Nippon Cargo, for those who haven’t seen Tuesday’s Herald yet http://www.heraldnet.com/stories/05/11/15/100loc_boeing001.cfm), British Airways chief Willie Walsh was dropping big hints to The Independent in London http://news.independent.co.uk/business/news/article327108.ece that his airline will buy the passenger version, which Boeing is calling “The Intercontinental.”

Key Quote: “Mr Walsh appeared to rule out a purchase of the A380 for the foreseeable future. ‘We are pleased we haven’t got one on order at the moment,’ he said. ‘It is too big an aircraft. There is a big question mark beside it.’”
