USA Today this morning features this story http://www.usatoday.com/travel/news/2006-01-09-fanny-friendly_x.htm from The Palm Beach Post on aircraft interiors manufacturer B/E Aerospace — the parent company of Flight Structures Inc. over in Marysville.

The story notes that B/E was on a roll in ‘05, landing big orders from Emirates, British Airways and Air France.

Key Quote: “The solid flow of contracts is a far cry from four years ago. After the 2001 terrorist attacks, the airline industry went into a tailspin, and its suppliers were faced with a dwindling pipeline of orders for new jets and parts to repair older aircraft. BE pared its operation, closed five plants, … shed 1,500 employees and cut $60 million in annual costs. It now employs 3,500 in 11 factories in four countries.”
