Most observers expect jet orders to fall off sharply from last year’s record levels, but an analyst at D.A. Davidson is seeing strong potential in the market for replacing aging planes in U.S. airline fleets, the Puget Sound Business Journal reports. http://www.bizjournals.com/seattle/stories/2006/03/06/tidbits1.html

Key Quote: “If U.S. airlines decided to replace just 20 percent of their fleets, that would result in orders for about 1,100 aircraft, more than all of Boeing’s orders last year, said Davidson analyst JB Groh.”
