Python’s ‘Circus’ comes back to town

I’m reporting this with one contingency: I’m not responsible in case this is just an early April Fool’s hoax by KCTS, Channel 9.
You know those public television folks are always waiting to pull a fast one.
Our local PBS affiliate announced that it’s bringing back “Monty Python’s Flying Circus” on Saturday nights, running all 47 episodes over the course of the next few monthts. Back-to-back half-hour episodes will air at 10 p.m. Saturdays on KCTS, Channel 9.
It all starts on April 1, which is April Fool’s Day. KCTS says it will air the first four episodes of the show’s run, from 10 p.m. to midnight. The same four episodes will be repeated from 3 to 5 a.m. Thursday, April 6.
Starting on April 8, two episodes will air each Saturday night until all 47 episodes are done.
The sextet brought comedy in America to a whole new level in 1974, when the show began airing on PBS affiliates around the country. John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, Michael Palin and the late Graham Chapman were recently highlighted in six episodes of PBS’s “Monty Python’s Personal Best,” which featured each of the cast members’ favorite moments from the show.
