EVERETT – A man was shot inside a house in the 700 block of Linden Street in north Everett just before 4 p.m. Thursday.
The man was taken to Providence Everett Medical Center’s Colby Campus, then flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle in serious condition with a single gunshot wound, Everett police spokesman Sgt. Boyd Bryant said.
Police were looking for a woman in connection with the shooting, Bryant said. There was no immediate description or age of the woman or the victim, he said.
The man was able to walk to the front steps of the residence, where he collapsed. Neighbors called police.
Neither the victim nor the woman lives at the rental home, with is owned by the Everett Housing Authority, Bryant said.
Police have responded to incidents at that address in the past, he added.
Several neighbors said people came and went from the address at all hours.
“It’s a rare day something like this happens,” said Ellen Michaud, the housing authority’s director of housing management. “It’s upsetting to us, and it’s upsetting to our tenants.”
