Boeing, Northrop may share Air Force contract

The U.S. Air Force may hedge its bet and split a multi-billion dollar tanker contract between the Boeing Co. and Northrop Grumman, according to a Reuters report out late yesterday. Last week, Boeing officials confirmed that they plan to offer the Air Force an aerial refueling tanker based off of its Everett-built 767 jet. Northrop, together with EADS, will offer a version of Airbus’s A330.
