Do Red Haven peaches, Perfection apricots and cherries sound good?
The fruit goes on sale Tuesday in Oak Harbor.
All proceeds support community projects by the Oak Harbor Lions Club, including eyeglasses and hearing aids for the needy, scholarships, Camp Horizon (a summer camp for those with special needs), Special Olympics and many others.
The sale starts Tuesday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and will run as long as fruit supplies from Wenatchee last. Look for the bright yellow trailer in the parking lot at Rite Aid, 31645 Highway 20, Oak Harbor.
Donations of art sought for festival
Donations are being accepted now for the annual Previously Loved Art Sale at ArtWorks in Edmonds.
The sale of paintings, prints, posters, frames, pottery and other items is scheduled for Sept. 15 and 16 at ArtWorks, 201 Second Ave. S., in downtown Edmonds.
Proceeds from the sale benefit the Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation’s education programs.
Any art-related items can be dropped off at ArtWorks from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays.

Silversmithing class in Everett
Beginning and advanced silversmithing classes are available at the Everett Senior Activity Center beginning in August.
The advanced class will begin Aug. 1; the beginning class will begin Aug. 2. Both classes will run from 9 a.m. to noon each week for eight weeks.

Take a blanket for outdoor film
The 1944 movie “National Velvet” is scheduled to play outside at dusk Thursday at Terrace Park, 809 E. Fifth St., Arlington.
It’s free. The event is part of the city’s Outdoor Cinema series.
