With today’s story on the Canadian dollar reaching parity with the American dollar — and worries about a decline in tourism in Vancouver — I thought there might be some interest in this story from the Times Colonist. It’s about the visit of USS Abraham Lincoln, the Everett-based aircraft carrier, to Victoria this weekend. Officials there hope the ship’s visit will give the local economy a boost.
