MOUNTLAKE TERRACE – An investigation into the death of a man found with duct tape wrapped around his body near I-5 on Wednesday led police to a north Lynnwood home full of drugs and cash, police said.
Police aren’t yet talking about how the man’s death is connected to the drug cache.
Two men were arrested for investigation of drug possession Wednesday at the home, but it’s not clear if they were involved in the man’s death, Mountlake Terrace Police Assistant Chief Mark Connor said.
Police arrested the two men, 63 and 57, and found cocaine, marijuana, several pounds of heroin and a large amount of cash in the home, he said.
He said the man found Wednesday near the 220th Street SE offramp from I-5 was in his mid-40s. His identity had not been released.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner was expected to conduct an autopsy today or Saturday, Connor said.
Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and Drug Enforcement Administration agents are working with Mountlake Terrace police on the investigation, Connor said.
