Three injured in accident on Highway 9
LAKE STEVENS — Three people were injured early Tuesday when a man reportedly ran a stop sign on Highway 9.
A man, 24, was driving eastbound on 32nd Street SE and failed to stop as he approached the highway, according to the Washington State Patrol. He struck a woman, 39, driving northbound on Highway 9.
She was taken to an Everett hospital. The man and a passenger in his car, an 18-year-old man, also were hurt and hospitalized.
State troopers are investigating if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
Arlington: Man dies in industrial accident
A 41-year-old Lake Stevens man died Monday while he worked around heavy machinery at ACS Industries in Arlington.
Robert Anthony Llewelyn of Lake Stevens died from blunt impact when he was hit in the head, according to county medical reports and city of Arlington spokeswoman Kristin Banfield. The death was ruled an accident.
ACS Industries manufactures large equipment, including industrial trucks. It is in the 19600 block of 60th Avenue NE.
