Airbus wins again

The orders keep piling up for Airbus.
Earlier this week, the European jet maker scored big, signing $14.8 billion worth of agreements with China. Today, Airbus has added another $4.4 billion to its backlog from a deal with Hawaiian Airlines.
The carrier reached a tentative agreement with Airbus for up to 24 wide body jets, including 12 A350 XWBs, according to a Hawaiian Airlines press release. Airbus would deliver the first Hawaiian A350 in 2017. The U.S.-based carrier also requested up to 12 A330s and additionally will lease A330s.
Hawaiian’s fleet consists mostly of Boeing 717 and 767 jets purchased in the early half of this decade.
