Donate today for flood victims

Fill a truck with goods and food from 8 to 10 this morning at St. Mary Magdalen School, 8615 Seventh Ave. SE, Everett.

Help flood victims in Chehalis.

A 24-foot truck with all the donations will be driven to St. Joseph’s Parish in Chehalis on Tuesday. Students have donated clothing and gently used toys, and made cards with wishes that victims are soon able to rebuild their homes.

Burn ban is on

A stage one burn ban is on in Snohomish, King and Pierce counties.

No burning is allowed in fireplaces or uncertified wood stoves, unless this is your only adequate source of heat, and all outdoor burning is prohibited, even in areas where outdoor burning is not permanently banned. No visible smoke is allowed from any wood stove or fireplace, beyond a 20-minute startup period.
