MONROE – Traffic officials have reopened Highway 522 north of the Snohomish River bridge after a serious collision blocked traffic in both directions, officials said.
The road reopened just before 6 p.m.
Initial reports are that two pick-up trucks and a passenger vehicle were involved in a crash before 3 p.m., Washington State Patrol trooper Keith Leary said.
Firefighters were working to remove injured passengers from at least one of the vehicles, according to emergency dispatchers. At least one person was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
