Marysville: City gets $75,000 grant

The city of Marysville has received a $75,000 grant to study the environmental effects of an expected future revamping of the downtown area.

The city has already hired three consulting firms to study design, land use, landscaping, transportation and other elements involved in reshaping the downtown Marysville core.

The $75,000 grant from the state would supplement that work. The City Council on Monday could approve spending the grant money for that purpose.

The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Marysville City Hall, 1049 State Ave.

For more information, call the city at 360-363-8000.
