EUGENE, Ore. — University of Oregon running back Jonathan Stewart will pass up his senior season and enter the NFL draft.
The school confirmed Stewart’s decision Friday.
Stewart, a junior who attended Timberline High School in Lacey, ran for an Oregon-record 1,722 yards in leading the Ducks to a 9-4 record this past season. He averaged 132.5 yards per game, ran for 11 touchdowns and caught two TD passes.
Stewart rushed for 253 yards in Oregon’s 56-21 victory over South Florida last month in the Sun Bowl.
