Slade Gorton in accident
Former U.S. Sen. Slade Gorton had a brush with the law Monday.
The 80-year-old came a little too close to a UPS truck when he was driving off the ferry at the Mukilteo landing, Washington State Patrol trooper Kirk Rudeen said.
The senator’s passenger side rearview mirror clipped the side of the truck.
Once the senator got off the ferry, he pulled into a gas station to talk with a trooper.
The only noticeable damage was to the senator’s car.
