MUKILTEO – Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee’s wife, touring Washington to raise support before Saturday’s caucuses, canceled her planned visit to Boeing this afternoon, campaign officials said.

Janet Huckabee’s busy campaign schedule in Washington had included a 3:30 p.m. stop in Mukilteo to tour the Boeing facility, spokeswoman Wendy Dooley said.

But the former Arkansas first lady began to run behind schedule this morning and she had to cancel her trip to Snohomish County, Dooley said.

“She definitely was looking forward to coming up that way,” Dooley said.

All the remaining major presidential candidates from both political parties have been stumping in Washington ahead of the state’s Saturday caucuses.

This morning, large crowds turned out to see Sen. Barak Obama at Seattle’s Key Arena. Sen. Hillary Clinton spoke Thursday night in Seattle and Sen. John McCain is scheduled to meet with supporters in Seattle tonight.

Janet Huckabee started the morning visiting corporate headquarters at Starbucks and Microsoft before attending a rally in Kirkland, according to the campaign’s Web site.

She is scheduled to attend a reception in Seattle and a prayer meeting in Newcastle this evening before heading to Olympia for a breakfast Saturday morning.
