50 years ago (1958)

Herb Wilson and Bob Rowe announced that they had purchased the insurance and real estate business of Western Insurance Agency, formerly Jack Westland Insurance, and were merging under the name of Wilson &Rowe. They were moving from 2938 Colby Ave. to 2824 Hoyt Ave.

Cassatio Junior Music Club met recently with Karen Oke, 1525 Rockefeller Ave., to continue the study of American music in the Parade of American Music program. Betty McGhee and Rosemary Patchett offered several flute duets and Michael Kepley played guitar selections. Members also discussed the annual Junior Day set for March 29 at the University of Washington.

25 years ago (1983)

Greg Wilson of Mukilteo earned a certificate designating him as a factory trained service technician after completing a course in Vancouver, B.C., for maintenance and repair of Mariner outboard motors. He was employed at Wilson Marine Service in Mukilteo.

Two Marysville women, Tammy Enyeart and Andrea Hollingsworth, who carried the rank of airman in the Air Force, were recent graduates of an aircraft electrical repair course at Chanute AFB, Ill. Both were 1982 graduates of Marysville-Pilchuck High School.
